LA MARTINIERE MOOT COURT
A Moot Court Competition is a simulation of actual court proceedings, with deliberations and pleas from two grounds, representing each side of the simulation. The mooters analyse the provided facts, officially referred to as the moot problem, and prepare their arguments over a set time period, laden with laws and case laws in order to add force to their arguments, with the final aim of successfully convincing the bench of judges to side with their council. It is a must have experience for every legal aspirant as well as law enthusiasts.
La Martiniere Law Society organises inter-school as well as intra-school moot courts in order to train as well as educate the members, participants and spectators about the peculiarities and procedure of said court proceedings. Ranging from international trade laws, through controversial topics like Police Brutality and Unlawful Activity Prevention Act, this competition through its unique moot problems and undertakings continues to fulfil the very objective it was created for. With the Second edition of La Martiniere Inter School Moot Court Competition, we are ready to venture into yet another specialised field of law.
